Sarah Dale-Harris is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Law, Technology & Outsourcing, Renewable Energy & Sustainable Development, Video Games & Interactive Entertainment Law, as well as Franchise & Distribution practice groups. Ms. Dale-Harris works closely with clients in the strategic creation, development, management, commercialization and enforcement of their intellectual property portfolios, and primarily advises clients regarding the following issues:

  • Strategic development, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights
  • All matters relating to the registration of trade-marks, domain names and copyrights in Canada
  • Transfer and acquisition of intellectual property rights
  • Drafting and negotiating agreements for licensing, distribution, manufacture, supply, re-selling, franchising, confidentiality and trade-secret, material transfer, clinical trial and collaborative research and the assignment of rights in a variety of industries including software, renewable energy, web development, biotech, pharmaceutical, video game, and entertainment
  • Enforcement of rights in respect of trade-marks, domain names and copyrights
  • Advising on intellectual property-related matters for due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, licensing and other agreements
