| Richard Wah Kan founded DreamCatcher Interactive Inc. in 1996 and DreamCatcher Europe S.A. in 2002.
Prior to founding DreamCatcher, Richard held several Sales and Marketing positions at Apple Canada, including Software Development Manager from 1982-1991 and as the Vice President Licensing and International Sales with Discis Knowledge Research, Inc. from 1992-1996. In September 2002, Richard was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for his work at DreamCatcher.
After the acquisition of DreamCatcher by Austrian based publisher JoWood in Q1 2007, Richard exited his post as President and CEO.
DreamCatcher sold products into all major US and Canadian retailers such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, Future Shop, Costco, EB/Gamestop, CompUSA, Circuit City, Staples, etc. Richard is well known for his efforts to reestablish adventure gaming as a viable genre at retail, particularly in North America. In Q1 2007, DreamCatcher was the #1 Publisher of adventure games in North America in both unit sales and dollar sales with wide scale coverage in mass-merchants, computer specialty stores and software destination stores.
Richard has his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario and his Engineering degree from University of Toronto.
